Major and concrete trade offer for Arber Xhekaj: Renaud Lavoie asserts that it is entirely false
The most renowned insiders are generally well-connected. When we talk about Elliotte Friedman, Darren Dreger, Pierre LeBrun, Frank Seravalli, David Pagnotta, and the like, we know it's serious.
Renaud Lavoie is trying to make a mark in this world, but he doesn't yet have the notoriety of his peers. However, I must admit that he is sometimes surprising in his predictions, which turn out to be true.
This time, he contradicts David Pagnotta. We're talking about the insider who was the first to break the news of Patrick Roy's hiring by the Islanders. That's something!
Here's what Pagnotta had also mentioned about Xhekaj and the Canadiens:
"Teams have not only called the Montreal Canadiens about the rugged defenseman Arber Xhekaj, but some have also made concrete offers.
In fact, we learn that the Tricolore received an offer for a young NHL forward, a former first-round pick, with second-line potential. Montreal declined." - David Pagnotta Renaud Lavoie is convinced that this latest information is not true.
"Lavoie on TVA Sports advises people not to listen to the most recent Arber Xhekaj trade rumour (about the great offer)." - Marc Dumont
It's up to you to form your own opinion on who is right. Insiders often have privileged information that comes directly from general managers, but they are not always 100% accurate.
