Major last-minute development for David Reinbacher: The Canadiens' plan for the next season would be revealed
An important development has just occurred regarding the Montreal Canadiens' 5th overall draft pick, David Reinbacher.
The director of the Kloten hockey club, the team that owns the Austrian defenseman in the Swiss National League, has made a major announcement.
According to him, the Canadiens' organization has reached a principle agreement with Kloten, ensuring Reinbacher's return to Europe for the next season, with the only exception being if he unexpectedly makes the CH lineup.
In other words, it's either Montreal or Switzerland for Reinbacher, as the option of joining the Laval Rocket would not be on the table for the upcoming season.
"If he manages to break into the NHL right away, we will be very happy for him. And if that's not the case, we are thrilled to have him with us for another year in Kloten." - Larry Mitchell
For those who were hoping to see him make the jump to North America this year, they will have to be patient.
