Martin St-Louis confirms the rumor, and it's now official
Since Christian Dvorak got injured, the Canadiens have been playing with a lineup of seven defensemen and 11 forwards. It's not an ideal situation for anyone, but it serves as a temporary solution when needed.
The Canadiens were in a tough spot on the road with only 11 forwards. Martin St-Louis had no choice but to use this lineup.
Upon returning to the Bell Centre on Thursday against the Sabres, it was surprising. The Canadiens chose not to call up anyone and continued to play with seven defensemen. However, it was short-lived.
Recalled by the organization on Friday, Emil Heineman will play his first career game at the Bell Centre. Martin St-Louis confirmed the rumor a few minutes ago.
Johnathan Kovacevic will be the one sitting out, which is challenging to understand, especially when his game seems more solid than Justin Barron's. The coach has his reasons, and we trust him.
