Connor Bedard seriously injured? The prodigy took a hard hit and will not return to the game
Connor Bedard has been making waves in Chicago since being drafted first overall in the last amateur draft. The young prodigy, at only 18 years old, is by far their best forward.
The best player on any team is certainly targeted by opponents who don't want to give them an inch of space. For a rare moment, an opponent was able to connect with him solidly, as Brendan Smith awaited him in his zone.
Bedard immediately held his mouth and left for the locker room. The Blackhawks confirmed that he will not return to the game tonight.
It's really concerning. Let's hope it's a precautionary measure and that he's not seriously injured. Electrifying players like him are wanted in the lineup, not in the infirmary.
