Martin St-Louis confirms the rumor, and there are two significant changes, including a surprise
Montreal Canadiens will face the Florida Panthers in a few minutes, as of writing these lines.
For the occasion, Martin St-Louis has confirmed his lineup, and the rumor is indeed true. Jake Allen will be in goal, and Johnathan Kovacevic will once again be left out.
While Allen's presence is not a surprise, despite being involved in various trade rumors, Kovacevic's absence is a bit more unexpected.
The right-handed defenseman has a positive rating of +4 since the start of the season and has contributed five points. St-Louis prefers Jayden Struble and Jordan Harris over Johnathan.
Number 47 is really making a strong case and earning his spot with the big club. It's too early to get worked up, but it's a significant surprise so far.
"No changes to the lineup for the Canadiens for tonight's game except for Jake Allen, who will be in goal. Gustav Lindstrom and Johnathan Kovacevic are the extras skating in Sunrise this morning."
