Martin St-Louis surprises everyone and confirms the news
There are two big pieces of news for the Canadiens today. First, it's confirmed for Brandon Gignac, who will play his first game with the Canadiens on Tuesday night.
However, the most surprising news confirmed by Martin St-Louis is not about Gignac.
As we mentioned on Monday, Arber Xhekaj was used as an extra in practice, and everything suggested he would be left out again for the game against the Capitals.
Plot twist, the coach decided to change his mind, and number 72 will be in the lineup. Jordan Harris will be the one left out.
It's undoubtedly good news for Xhekaj and the fans. Now we will see if the extended break has done him well, as he has a regular spot to earn with the Canadiens.
