On the show Tout le monde en parle, there were many special guests on Guy A. Lepage's set, including the head coach of the Montreal Canadiens, Martin St-Louis, and players Mike Matheson, David Savard, Rafaël Harvey-Pinard, and Samuel Montembeault.

Various topics, including the pressure felt by a Quebecer playing for the Canadiens, were discussed. It was genuinely delightful to see our players in a much more relaxed atmosphere than during the team's press briefings. It quickly became evident that there's great chemistry within the group and that the players have full confidence in Martin St-Louis.

Moreover, host Guy A. Lepage didn't hesitate to ask #8 of the Bleu-Blanc-Rouge an important question about his health. Recall that Mike Matheson was supposed to play in last Wednesday's game against the Senators, but minutes before the game, Kaiden Guhle was slotted into the lineup instead.

Even though Martin St-Louis had mentioned it was only a minor discomfort, the CH's defenseman did not play in the two games against the Toronto Maple Leafs, causing some concern among Montreal fans.

"Since Wednesday, you've been out of the lineup due to discomfort. The same thing happened during last year's training camp, and that discomfort lasted eight weeks. Are we talking about the same kind of discomfort?" - Guy A. Lepage

Naturally, this question got some laughs from those present. However, Mike Matheson reassured fans by stating he feels fine and the severity of his injury is nothing like last season.

"No, everything's fine. Given it's preseason, we can be more cautious to make sure we're ready for the season's first game. I'm really looking forward to it; the summer has been long." - Mike Matheson

What excellent news!

Evidently, all signs point to the Canadiens' star defenseman being ready to play in the first game of the year against the Toronto Maple Leafs on October 11th.

The Pointe-Claire native is likely to have a crucial role again this season for the Canadiens, potentially being the power play quarterback. Hopefully, he can replicate last year's success, where he amassed an impressive 8 goals and 26 assists (34 points) in 48 games.
