Montreal Canadiens vs Buffalo Sabres: Latest regarding the first game of the rookie tournament
Starting tomorrow night, we will finally have some hockey to sink our teeth into as the Montreal Canadiens' rookies will face off against the Buffalo Sabres' prospects, at 7:30 PM.
After more than five months without a game, we will finally have the opportunity to see our favorites in action!
Moreover, the Buffalo Sabres, the host team of the tournament, have already revealed their lineup, in anticipation of the encounter against the Blue-White-Red.
As reported by Marco Normandin from the Habsolumentfan website, here are the players who will take part in the game:
Goalies (2):
Scott Ratzlaff and Josh Fleming
Defenders (8):
Ryan Johnson, Nikita Novikov, Vsevolod Komarov, Zach Metsa, Chris Jandric, Nicholas Savoie, Mats Lindgren, and Norwin Panocha.
Forwards (15):
Matthew Savoie, Zach Benson, Jiri Kulich, Isak Rosen, Tyson Kozak, Filip Cederqvist, Vikto Neuchev, Olivier Nadeau, Aleksandr Kisakov, Ethan Miedema, Riley Fiddler-Schultz, Graham Slaggert, Lawson Shrek, Damien Giroux, and Dominick Mersch. It will be a heavy task for the young defenders of the Tricolor as four forwards selected in the first round will be in uniform for the Sabres, namely Zach Benson (13th pick in 2023), Matthew Savoie (9th pick in 2022), Jiri Kulich (28th pick in 2022), and Isak Rosen (14th pick in 2021).
As for the Montreal Canadiens, we can expect Jakub Dobes, Quentin Miller, Logan Mailloux, David Reinbacher, Owen Beck, Sean Farrell, Emil Heineman, Filip Mesar, Joshua Roy, and Florian Xhekaj to be in the lineup led by Jean-François Houle.
