Official announcement and personnel movement from the Montreal Canadiens
In recent games, Arber Xhekaj has been sidelined due to an upper-body injury. Since he was part of the West Coast trip and his condition was evaluated daily, it was initially believed that it wasn't too serious and he could return fairly quickly.
However, that is not the case, as the Canadiens have just announced that the towering defenseman has been placed on the injured list. Additionally, the team has announced the recall of forward Joel Armia from Laval.
"The Canadiens have recalled forward Joel Armia from the Laval Rocket. He will meet the team in Los Angeles Friday evening.
The Club has also placed defenseman Arber Xhekaj on IR retroactively to his last game.

It's unfortunate for Xhekaj, but it must be acknowledged that Jayden Struble is performing very well in his absence. As for Joel Armia, it's a well-deserved call-up, given his strong performance with the Rocket.
