Possible return of Carey Price with the Montreal Canadiens? The number 31 just confirmed that, unfortunately, it will not be possible
During the last few minutes, the goaltender of the Montreal Canadiens, Carey Price, held a press conference at the CN Sports Complex in Brossard to announce his collaboration with CFMOTO Canada, where he will be an ambassador for the company.
However, number 31 also made a very important update regarding the possibility of seeing him again one day in the Tricolore uniform. Indeed, still troubled by a serious right knee injury, Carey Price unfortunately informed the journalists present on the scene that he would be unable to return to action soon.
"Honestly, on a daily basis, I feel pretty good. I arrived here at the beginning of training camp and I feel like I can still play, but when I do certain things regularly, it clearly reminds me that my knee is not able to withstand the workload of a full season. I still have a lot of inflammation." - Carey Price
Although we suspected that the goaltender career was now over, we now have confirmation. The chances of seeing Carey Price play a game with the Montreal Canadiens are virtually nonexistent. He notably mentioned that, at the moment, his focus is on rehabilitating his knee to be able to function normally in everyday life.
"Honestly, for now, it's not possible [speaking of a potential return] to withstand the stress of a goalkeeper, my knee is not healthy enough for that. For now, I'm just trying to rehabilitate my knee to be able to lead a good life in general." - Carey Price
Honestly, we strongly hope that his knee will continue to improve, he who has sacrificed body and soul for the team for many years. We also want to thank him for the unforgettable moments he has provided us over the course of his 15 seasons with the Montreal organization.
