It was Max Truman who reported the information that the two players had seriously caused trouble at a reputed golf club in Quebec, the Memphrémagog Golf Club, during the last weekend.
Why has it stirred up in the last few hours? Due to the fact that Suzuki and Caufield shared photos of the mentioned club to their thousands of followers on social media, whereas it is strictly forbidden to photograph the premises.
It even goes a step further by outright banning phones on the field.
As reported by Truman, the photos shared by the captain and the goalscorer of the CH could have created serious problems, notably between the club and its golf members.
It should be noted that it is an extremely selective club, where there are only 200 eligible members, who pay nearly $200,000 annually for their membership.
While I consider this "controversy" to be a bit exaggerated, I can understand that it has caused a certain unintentional storm by the two players.
However, it must be said that we are far from the controversies we have already seen in Montreal in the past. Although it is forbidden to take photos, we agree that they haven't done anything truly wrong. Hopefully this will just be a reminder to be a little more consciencious.
