Former general manager of the Canadiens, Marc Bergevin, did a good job in Montreal if you look at his overall work. So it wouldn't be surprising if he becomes GM of a team again someday.
In fact, it's about this that the rumors are intensifying. Bergevin is linked to Pittsburgh. It should be recalled that Ron Hextall was fired on April 14th. Now working with the Kings, Bergevin still has the ambition to become a GM again in the NHL.
According to what insider Elliotte Friedman reports in a recent segment of 32 Thoughts, Bergevin's name is increasingly circulating behind the scenes of the Penguins.
"Pittsburgh is looking for someone with experience and a younger perspective. Bergevin meets both of these needs and I believe that several teams will be interested in his services, including Pittsburgh," said Elliotte Friedman.
It should also not be forgotten that Bergevin played over 100 games with the Penguins in his playing career, which gives him a certain advantage. He is also a very good friend of Mario Lemieux.
