Over the past few hours, Henri Richard's family has announced some sad news about the former Montreal Canadien. Indeed, the player who has won the most Stanley Cups in NHL history was unfortunately afflicted with the degenerative disease of chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE).

This is a disease that can occur when someone is exposed to too many head impacts, which is likely to reignite the debate about fighting in the NHL, but also about the importance of protecting the players.
