Signing Alert: Another Goaltender has Just Signed a Contract
The Toronto Maple Leafs have just surprised everyone today, as they announced the signing of goalkeeper Martin Jones for one season.
The 33-year-old goalie's salary is $875,000.
This signing is a surprise to fans who thought that Joseph Woll's spot on the team was secured, especially since he performed well in the playoff series when he came in relief for Sergei Samsonov.
This means that Woll is likely to play in the Leafs' AHL team next year.
In his NHL career, Jones has accumulated 225 wins in 444 games. He has an GAA of 2.70 and a save percentage of 0.905.
