Solid slap in the face for former Canadiens player Corey Perry
Canadiens fans loved Corey Perry during his time in Montreal. It was almost unanimous; we wanted him to stay with the Habs, but Bergevin didn't offer him a two-year deal, like the Lightning did.
Now a member of the Blackhawks with a certain Connor Bedard, he acts as a big brother to the rookie, much like he did with Cole Caufield.
We still appreciate his energy and production; he already has 9 points in 16 gamesnot bad for a 38-year-old!
Unfortunately, despite the Hawks having a weak lineup, he was scratched Wednesday night. It's a surprising decision, but if it lifts his spirits, the Blue Jackets handed them a 7-3 defeat.
Corey Perry is listed as a scratch tonight vs. Columbus. Taylor Hall is also out.
- Charlie Roumeliotis We don't know what the future holds for him, but let's hope he won't be in the stands for too long. Corey Perry is a veteran who deserves to play.
