Sudden twist and Juraj Slafkovsky's demotion to the American League? Martin St-Louis makes a very clear statement
Since the beginning of the season, and one could even say since the start of his career last year, Juraj Slafkovsky seems to be struggling to adapt to the NHL pace.
More and more people are wondering if it wouldn't be better to send him to Laval to rebuild his confidence. Since the recent stint in Arizona and André Tourigny's statement that the NHL is not a development league, there has been a sudden increase in this discussion. People are outright hoping that Slaf will be sent to Laval for his own good.
Martin St-Louis has finally responded to the question, and it's quite clear:
"Martin St-Louis was asked about the possibility of Juraj Slafkovsky being assigned to the Rocket.
'It's not something we're currently discussing.'
- Via Patrick Friolet, RDS"
So, it looks like we can forget about the option of sending him to the AHL in the short term.
