Surprise: Martin St-Louis loses patience and he explains why
Sometimes, we see the Canadiens' coach losing patience in press conferences, even during practices or in the middle of a game.
It's becoming more and more common, and people, in general, are pleased to see it. Eventually, it's nice to have a young team, but the message needs to get through.
As the coach mentioned in his last press conference, the team is sometimes stubborn, and players need a bit of a course correction. He explained well this mix of aggression and patience that he sometimes experiences.
"It's that aggressive patience; I feel like I have patience but I'm aggressive and I think everything in life has an expiration date. Sometimes I'm not going to be as patient with things I've been talking about and harping on for a long time."
- Martin St-Louis
Without giving too many details, it's quite clear what he's talking about. The power play, one-on-one battles, risky passes in the defensive and neutral zonesthere are several bad habits that keep resurfacing.
