While the NHL is slow to issue an official verdict regarding the five players involved in the infamous Team Canada Junior scandal, suspensions have finally been announced.

Indeed, journalist Rick Westhead, who was the first to report this horrible story, has confirmed that all members of the 2018 Canadian junior team are now temporarily ineligible to participate in international competitions, until there is a resolution in the investigation.

Wow! This is huge!

"Hockey Canada has made the decision that until the investigation and decision-making process on the alleged 2018 incident are completed, no player from the 2018 junior national team will be considered for participation with Team Canada."

This means that many talented players such as Cale Makar, Robert Thomas, Jordan Kyrou, Carter Hart, Dillon Dube, Sam Steel, Max Comtois, Tyler Steenbergen, Drake Batherson, Michael McLeod, and Boris Katchouk will not be able to represent the Canadian team in international competitions.

One thing is for sure, it's really starting to be time for the NHL leaders to step up in this matter and suspend the guilty players. It's completely ridiculous that they can still play for their respective teams at the moment.
