During the exhibition game between the Minnesota Wild and the Colorado Avalanche, a terrifying scene unfortunately unfolded in the middle of the second period.
Indeed, forward Tanner Karo delivered a violent check to the head of Daemon Hunt. The defenseman lay on the ice, bloodied and clearly disoriented, for several seconds before team medics came to his aid.
He subsequently left the game and was never able to return. The Wild has yet to provide an update on the defenseman's health, suggesting he might have sustained a serious injury.
It's completely unacceptable for such actions to occur in a preparatory match as teams gear up for the regular season. We sincerely hope that Tanner Karo will be severely punished by the NHL.
