However, as we mentioned in our previous text, the term used by the organization, namely the word "loaned" and not "assigned", has raised some questions among Montreal fans.
Some notably put forward the possibility that the CH prospect had been assigned to the Laval Rocket with the intention of playing the preseason game on Thursday night against the Marlies before potentially being recalled to play against the Ottawa Senators on Saturday.
However, the excellent Anthony Martineau inquired with the organization to get additional clarification on the length of his stay with the Rocket, wishing to know if Mailloux would be back with the CH before the start of the regular season.
Unfortunately for those hoping to see the defenseman make Martin St-Louis' lineup, the Canadiens confirmed that he is indeed assigned to the team's farm club and will take part in the Rocket's training camp.
We are eager to see how he will perform in the American league this year, as he will make his debut in the professional ranks. One thing is certain, he left a very good impression with the management and there is no doubt that he will play a major role in the Montreal defensive brigade in the years to come.
