Recently, about two weeks before the highly anticipated 2023 National Hockey League draft lottery, an announcement was made regarding Connor Bedard.
"Connor Bedard will not participate in the upcoming hockey world championships," reported Jeff Marek.
The news is now confirmed : Connor Bedard will not play in the 2023 Ice Hockey World Championship. Although it would have been exciting to see him play, we can understand his decision. Bedard is now focusing on the 2023 National Hockey League draft lottery and actual draft.

At just 17 years old, Bedard has been impressive this season with a total of 143 points (71 goals) in 57 games, as well as a total of over 100 points in 62 games the previous season.
