Trade between the Edmonton Oilers and the Montreal Canadiens: it would involve goaltender Jake Allen and forward Dylan Holloway
With their glaring need for a goaltender, the Oilers are increasingly linked to the Canadiens. It's been years since they've paid the price to acquire a good goaltender, and everyone there is starting to get fed up.
Fans are no longer patient, and the stars aren't either. Connor McDavid has made a few rather negative statements in front of the media lately. In short, before he demands a trade, Ken Holland needs to react.
A proposal has emerged for a trade involving Jake Allen, who would be their best goaltender in a long time. As they must pay the price this time, Dylan Holloway would be the one heading to Montreal.
With the talent they have up front with the Oilers, young Holloway doesn't have much room to flourish, but in Montreal, he could explode. He is the former teammate of Cole Caufield with the Badgers in the NCAA.
If this proposal really ends up on Kent Hughes' table, he will certainly have to consider it.
