Trade between the Vegas Golden Knights and the Montreal Canadiens involving forwards Max Pacioretty and Nick Suzuki: the captain comes back to haunt his former team
The Montreal Canadiens arrived in Vegas to play hockey. It was a heartbreaking 3-2 shootout loss, but Martin St-Louis' men dominated the game for 40 minutes.
The Golden Knights were very opportunistic, scoring a goal on only two shots in the 2nd period. Nick Suzuki finally tied the game late in the 3rd period.
In total, it's his 7th point in as many games against the team that drafted him. The captain was excellent once again and had every intention of haunting his former team.
While Max Pacioretty departed from Vegas to Carolina without any return, Suzuki became the captain of the Canadiens, scoring the tying goal late in the 3rd period and another goal in the shootout. It could have been enough to win, but once again, Vegas was opportunistic, scoring twice.
In short, Vegas won a Stanley Cup and is set to be a strong team for several more years, but imagine how much more dominant they could be with number 14 on their roster!
