Turn of events: It's now confirmed for Carey Price
Rumors often originate from an observer or an insider who introduces an idea or has heard something. In the hockey world, especially in Montreal, there are plenty of rumors throughout the year.
This time, the rumor about the Price family returning stemmed from Carey's wife, Angela. At the beginning of the season, she mentioned that it wasn't impossible for them to come back to Montreal, as that's where they feel at home.
However, this longing for their home in Candiac and their neighborhood was short-lived. In a recent Q&A session, Angela responded to the question quite clearly.
"Question: Would you consider moving back to Montreal in the future? We love you.
Answer: Never say never, but I don't think so. We really are enjoying being close to our families." - Angela Price
So, the case is closed. There were rumors that the couple was considering buying property in downtown Montreal, near the Bell Centre, but that is no longer on the table.
As for their Candiac home, the latest information suggests they are renting it to a current player on the Canadiens. The identity of the player is unknown, but selling doesn't seem to be in the plans.
