This past weekend, the entire hockey world was shaken by the tragedy surrounding the death of Adam Johnson. Perhaps finally, players will take their safety more seriously and wear neck protectors, as many have already started to do.

The player responsible for this fatal injury is a former member of the Laval Rocket, Matt Petgrave. He doesn't have the best reputation in the EIHL, but accusing him of intentionally causing this incident is an exaggeration.

Indeed, many fans on social media are placing blame on him. We're talking about a player who might very well end his career on the spot due to the trauma all of this has caused him, and he's being accused in such a manner.

I understand that people always seek someone to blame to make sense of things, but this isn't the right way to go about it. Out of respect for Johnson's loved ones, we haven't shared the video since it was released online, but many of you have likely seen it.

Some people even go as far as to say that he should be in prison, that it was intentional, and that there was a deliberate skate blade strike.

In short, as mentioned by the voice of the Rocket, Anthony Marcotte, it's horrifying
