The sequence of Josh Anderson's injury in Tuesday night's game has already circulated on the web. The forward's knee bent in the wrong direction, and it appeared very painful.

Having experienced this type of injury myself, I can tell you that there is no exaggeration. It is genuinely very painful, and putting weight on the leg becomes impossible.

It's really unfortunate for Josh, who had finally found his stride in the last 10 games. He was experiencing very good moments, and he might have to be absent for a very long time.

At least, that's the opinion of Dr. Harjas Grewal, who predicts injuries for athletes. He rarely makes mistakes. This practice is very popular in other sports, such as the NFL, and it's becoming more common in hockey. Here's what he had to say about the possible injury to Anderson:

"Hockey gear obscures the fine detail but concerns are a torn ACL (6+ months), MCL (depends on grade) and/or meniscus (4-6 weeks if trimmed, 4+ months if repaired) along with bone bruise for Josh Anderson

Likely an update tomorrow after MRI"

In short, things don't look good. What is certain at this point is that Josh cannot have absolutely nothing and return to play in the next game. He has an injury that could be very serious, and unfortunately, the chances of his season being over are very high.
