Two more players have just signed new contracts with the Trois-Rivières Lions, one of the Montreal Canadiens' affiliate teams. The ECHL team will be bolstered by these additions.

First, the Trois-Rivières Lions announced the signing of defenseman Brycen Martin, a third-round draft pick by the Buffalo Sabres in 2014. He has only played 21 games in his AHL career but has gained experience in the ECHL.

"Brycen Martin will be back with the Lions for a second season! He will certainly help the squad with his great leadership and excellent skating! Welcome back to the team, Marty!" - Trois-Rivières Lions

At 28 years old, Martin plays as a defenseman. The 6-foot-2, 195-pound player was selected 74th overall in the 2014 NHL Draft.

Last season, he recorded 18 points in 69 games with Trois-Rivières.

In addition to Brycen Martin, the Trois-Rivières Lions have added a Quebec native to the blue and white uniform.

Hometown Charles-Antoine Paiement is also returning to the Montreal Canadiens organization

"Charles-Antoine Paiement will be back with the Lions for a second season! He will greatly strengthen Ron Choules' offense with his natural offensive talent! Welcome back to the team, Charles-Antoine!" - Trois-Rivières Lions

At 25 years old, Paiement is a 5-foot-8, 161-pound forward who amassed 8 points with the Lions last season.

He also added 18 points in 17 games at Concordia University.

Details to follow.

Welcome back, Brycen and Charles-Antoine!
