A former 24-year-old QMJHL goaltender tragically passes away
The Gatineau Olympiques have announced the tragic death of a former member of their organization, who was only 24 years old.
Goalie Creed Jones, who played for three QMJHL teamsGatineau, Rimouski, and Saint-Johnis no longer with us.
"It is with great sadness that the Gatineau Olympiques organization learned of the passing of one of our alumni, Creed Jones.
Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones."
- Gatineau Olympiques
In 2020, Jones was outstanding with the Océanic, posting a goals-against average of 1.42 and a save percentage of .934.
Unfortunately, he was not drafted by the NHL, and his career seems to have ended in 2022 while playing for the University of Ottawa.
This must be an incredibly difficult time for his family and loved ones, and it is felt deeply throughout the hockey community as well.
Our thoughts go out to Creed Jones' family and friends during this challenging time.
