With all the skills he possesses, it's certain he will be a special player. The only concern about him is his size, but the more we see him play, the less worrisome that becomes.
Lane Hutson seems ready for the NHL. Now it remains to be seen whether Kent Hughes will be forced to leave him in Laval due to roster constraints. There are currently five defensemen (Arber Xhekaj, Justin Barron, David Savard, Kaiden Guhle, Michael Matheson) on the roster who are not exempt from waivers, which complicates things.

What stands out most about Lane Hutson is his play with the puck. It's when he has the puck that he shines and is at his best.
Certainly, he hasn't proven anything in the NHL yet, but to say that his puck skills are average is quite unfair. It's essentially a slap in the face.
