Things have been brewing in terms of injuries for the Montreal Canadiens since a few days.

First of all, yesterday, we have learned that forward Juraj Slafkovsky will miss at least a week following an upper body injury. It really comes at a bad time for the Slovak, who is having a very good start to the season with six points in six games.

Will Kent Hughes be tempted to recall Joshua Roy or Alex Barré-Boulet? It's possible, because let's be honest, Michael Pezzetta, as the 12th striker yesterday, didn't break anything, especially for a player who was left out for six games at the start of the season.

Reinforcement on defense?

With a potential injury to Justin Barron, following a dirty and completely gratuitous blow from Jacob Trouba, yesterday, the CH finds itself with only six healthy defenders, unofficially, because in fact, we do not yet have any news on Barron's state of health.

If Barron has to be absent for a few games, Hughes will have no choice but to recall from the Laval Rocket. Will William Trudeau be the next elected? He has only one point in four games with the Rocket, but the leaders of the CH appreciate him very much.

Another name that could be found in Montreal is that of Swede Adam Engstrom. The young rookie is taking his first steps in North America and already has two points in four games.

If not, will Hughes decide to add some experience with right-hander Gustav Lindstrom?

File to follow, but don't be surprised to learn that a player will be recalled by Saturday, when the CH will receive a visit from the St. Louis Blues.
