Arber Xhekaj deliberately strikes Kaiden Guhle with a stick, and it appears to be part of their pre-game routine
Sometimes the pre-game routines of hockey players can be quite peculiar. The one between Arber Xhekaj and Kaiden Guhle is truly unprecedented.
Indeed, the sheriff positions himself like a baseball player waiting to hit the ball at home plate. Kaiden Guhle seems to play the role of the ball, and with a swing of the bat, Guhle falls to the ground.
Of course, there is absolutely no violence involved. It's a way for them to have fun, and they are right to do so. However, it's quite an unusual routine.
Under the Marc Bergevin era, they could never have done that, especially when Michel Therrien was the coach. Kent Hughes and Martin St-Louis allow the young players to express themselves and have fun, and that's to their credit.
