Big blow to Joshua Roy's face? His future with the Canadiens may not be as clear as one might think
With Joshua Roy's performances since his second call-up to the Canadiens, there's a tendency to believe that he will remain with the team until the end of the season.
However, a post from journalist Marc Antoine Godin, who has been covering the Canadiens for a long time, first for The Athletic and now for Radio-Canada, is causing a significant reaction and suggests that Joshua could be sent back to Laval.
"Colin White is at the Canadiens' practice with a non-contact jersey. This might be a situation to watch in connection with Joshua Roy and Laval." - Marc-Antoine Godin
It would be a real blow to the young man, who, in my opinion, has done enough to stay with the team. Sending him back to Laval would send a negative message to the young players in the organization.
Moreover, Joshua was on the B ice in Brossard with Jesse Ylonen and the two goalies. It might be a sign that his time with the Canadiens is limited.
