It's now confirmed for Juraj Slafkovsky and the Canadiens: The forward misses another practice day for a day of treatments
The days go by, and they look alike for the young Juraj Slafkovsky. His progress is matched only by the determination he puts into training. However, he has been forced to give up on this aspect for some time.
Indeed, the Slovak forward was once again absent from his team's practice to receive treatments. It doesn't mean he's not training anymore, but if given the choice, he would be on the ice with his teammates without hesitation.
"Forward Juraj Slafkovsky will not participate in today's practice (therapy day)." - Montreal Canadiens
This is the new approach of the Canadiens' medical team, which doesn't hesitate to exempt certain players from practice to receive treatments instead.
We know that players are very hard on themselves, so if this approach can help them stay healthy enough to play the games, it's a winning option.
The three members of the first line have missed their fair share of practices this year, but they haven't missed a single game so far, and it shows in chemistry, results, and even on the power play.
