Big statement from Corey Perry and the Montreal Canadiens: Cole Caufield is the star
The Canadiens faced off against the mighty Oilers Tuesday night, and when you mention the Oilers, you mention Corey Perry. Although he didn't play long in Montreal, he's still very popular, certainly more so than Brett Kulak.
There are plenty of strong friendships between former teammates in the NHL. Perry and Caufield spent some time together before the game, and Anthony Martineau questioned Corey about it.
"'Cole, he's Cole. He's always laughing!' Corey Perry and Cole Caufield spent some time together yesterday. The 38-year-old forward hasn't forgotten about Montreal and is convinced that the Habs are in good hands with Caufield and Suzuki as leaders." We know that the veteran played a very significant role for the young players during his time in Montreal, despite its brevity.
It's certain that making it to the Stanley Cup Finals builds bonds.
That being said, it hasn't been an easy season for Perry, but he has faced adversity and we're glad things are going well for him in Edmonton.
