Broadcasting Canadiens games: Major announcement and it's coming soon
Recently, RDS analyst Alain Crête shared an intriguing scoop about the future of hockey broadcasting, suggesting a potential shift to Crave.
This platform currently features a multi-episode documentary on the Canadiens' rebuild and is owned by Bell, which also owns RDS and TSN.
"I've been told that one option Bell might consider is to stream hockey games on Crave."
- Alain Crête
As fewer people subscribe to traditional television channels in 2024, the future of broadcasting is clearly leaning towards online platforms.
"That said, according to our information, several scenarios are being considered right now. RDS, Amazon, Crave, and TVA Sports are all involved in discussions."
- DansLesCoulisses
It remains to be seen if this will come to fruition, but if Alain Crête is making these claims, there's a good chance it will. The next question is who will secure the broadcasting rights.
