Last month, Carey Price received an honorary doctorate from the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC).

However, he was not the first in his family to receive a degree from UNBC, as his mother, Chief Lynda Price of the Ulkatcho First Nation, graduated from the University of Northern British Columbia in 2011.

For fans, it was nice to see Carey on social media, as he is not a fan of the various social media applications, unlike his wife, who is quite adept in this area.

In short, I am very happy for Carey Price that he can add this doctorate to the other honors he has accumulated during his legendary sports career.

Just for fun, here is his list of trophies/medals:

Trophies:
- Calder Cup and Playoff MVP (2007)
- Hart (2015)
- Ted Lindsay (2015)
- Vezina (2015)
- William M. Jennings (2015)
- Bill Masterton (2022)

Medals:
- Silver at the U18 World Championship (2005)
- Gold at the World Junior Championship (2007)
- Gold at the Olympics (2014)
- Gold at the World Cup of Hockey (2016)

Carey has thus had a very full playing career and has won everything possible for a professional hockey player, except for the Stanley Cup.

Nevertheless, he has delighted Canadiens fans and those across North America, and even the world, by being a role model throughout his playing career.
