Cole Caufield at the party: an obvious point is raised
For several months, Cole Caufield has been talked about as someone who enjoys partying. An obvious point has been raised, and it's also worth mentioning when it's positive.
Indeed, it was Réjean Tremblay who started the debate by stating:
"Cole Caufield had clearly consumed too much cough syrup. Poor boy, he was all dizzy." - Réjean Tremblay
The guys from the Stanley 25 podcast, Max Truman and JT Utah, also added to the conversation, stating that the Canadiens hired a nanny to supervise the players at such events and ensure they don't go overboard.
This is a team initiative that is greatly appreciated and provides the players with some protection. Unfortunately, they are so popular that they get noticed everywhere they go, sometimes for the wrong reasons.
Recently, Cole seems to have significantly calmed down in terms of partying, and interestingly, his statistics have improved significantly.
"We didn't ask Cole Caufield if there was a connection between the fact that NO ONE has seen him in bars for the past two, three weeks and the fact that he scored seven goals in his last seven games.
"We didn't ask him if the fact that he's been keeping a low profile because he has been for a while has allowed him to be better on the ice in the best league in the world.
"According to several people, Cole Caufield has been leading a more structured life for a while now did the Canadiens talk to him? and he has been much more productive on the ice. Is there a correlation to be made between the two? Or is it just a coincidence?" - Maxime Truman, via DLC
There is an obvious point to be made here, and it's for the better. Caufield remains a young, successful man who wants to go out occasionally, but it's not ideal when you are a star of the Montreal Canadiens.
We don't want to imply that he had a problem or was partying too much, but his statistics have indeed improved, even breaking his record for goals and points in a season. This is very encouraging for the future.
