It was during this same game that Patrik Laine also suffered a left knee injury. A few minutes apart, the same body part was injured for Reinbacher and Laine.
Unfortunately for Reinbacher, he had to undergo an operation and will miss five to six months, which takes him to March, unlike Laine, who simply suffered a twist, keeping him out for two to three months.
Over the past few weeks, we've been able to see Laine around the team, whether in the locker room after Habs games or during practices led by Martin St-Louis.
As for Reinbacher, we haven't seen him around the CH players at all. Officially, he hasn't been assigned to the Laval Rocket and continues to learn from the best, even if he can't be on the ice.
Today, as part of the Habs' blood drive, the Austrian made his first public appearance and met with the CH fans present at the Bell Centre for a good cause.

So it's positive to see him all smiles, a sign that the surgery went well.
The 19-year-old, the 5th overall pick in the 2023 NHL Draft, had five points in 11 games when he joined the CH's farm club at the end of last season. Just before that, in Kloten, Switzerland, he had 11 points in 35 games.
We obviously wish him a speedy recovery.
