David Savard on his departure from Montreal: development by David Pagnotta
NHL Network journalist David Pagnotta has just provided surprising information about 33-year-old defenseman David Savard.
This was even confirmed a few hours later by TVA Sports. Kent Hughes is seriously listening to offers regarding David Savard.
"Montreal Canadiens defenseman David Savard is attracting interest from at least three Western Conference teams.
The Dallas Stars, Colorado Avalanche, and Winnipeg Jets are all linked to the 33-year-old defenseman." - Via TVA Sports and David Pagnotta
A trade involving David Savard seems increasingly possible. He is now ranked 10th among players most likely to be moved this summer.
The St-Hyacinthe native defenseman is currently in the final season of a 4-year, $14 million contract.
The burning question is this: Does the Canadiens' management believe that 33-year-old veteran David Savard will choose to continue his partnership with the Tricolore, or will he test the free-agent market on July 1, 2025?
More details to follow.
