By way of comparison, it's better than the second season of Jack Hughes and Nathan MacKinnon, to name just a few.
So it's no surprise that he was invited by Slovakia for the World Championship. He's even their big star.
However, he had to stay in Montreal longer than expected for medical reasons. Remember, he was seen wearing a knee brace late in the season and missed several of his team's practices.
Unfortunately, it's confirming for him as he's still in Montreal when Slovakia had its first match. Slaf is very far from his team and especially from Finland right now.
The plan is still for him to join them later, but it's very worrying. As long as he doesn't leave Montreal, his tournament is compromised.
On a more positive note, Slaf was seen in the company of Arber Xhekaj and Michael Pezzetta in Montreal. While the season has been over for over two weeks, it's nice to see three players who aren't from the area still there. It demonstrates their sense of belonging to the city and the team.
