In 2021, during the Stanley Cup Finals with the Canadiens, Corey Perry was in his second straight year in the final without lifting the coveted trophy.

Since then, Perry missed the final again in 2022 with the Lightning, and now he's in the final for the fourth time in five years, with a fourth different team, the Oilers.

He came very close to losing again, but nothing is decided yet as the Oilers have rallied to tie the series 3-3.

Now 39 years old, possibly confirming his second ring as early as Monday, Corey was asked if it would be his last game in the NHL.

With the season he's had, the twists and turns with Chicago, and his age, it would be normal for Perry to retire, especially if the Oilers win. He was asked the question and his answer was pretty clear.

Corey Perry, asked if tmw will be his last game:

"Uh, no. I've got more in me. I've got lots more in me: five more years."

(Media scrum laughs).

"What's so funny? I feel like I'm 25!"

Perry is very clear: he won't retire, no matter what happens. He's also sending a clear message to the entire NHL, offering his services for next year.

With his wealth of experience, five Stanley Cup Finals appearances, and the fact that he's still a good hockey player, would you like to see him return to Montreal on the third line as a mentor for the young players?
