General surprise: Martin St-Louis confirms the news regarding Jake Allen
For several months, the clear number one goaltender has been Samuel Montembeault. He often plays two games in a row and significantly contributes to the team's chances of winning during these matchups.
Unfortunately, he had a slightly more challenging game on Thursday night, allowing 7 goals against the Rangers. He wasn't bad, but he didn't make as many key saves as usual.
It happens. You have to put it behind and focus on the next game. However, the next game won't be on Saturday night.
Unexpectedly, Martin St-Louis decides to go with Jake Allen. With all the rumors surrounding him, it wouldn't be surprising if this decision comes from the second floor, as Kent Hughes tries to trade him.
It will be interesting to see the list of scouts from other teams present at the Bell Centre. My hunch is that the Avalanche should be well represented.
