Huge statement and the successor to Martin St-Louis would be known
To start, I want to reassure you by saying that no, Martin St-Louis's position is not in jeopardy. It will be the day when all the pieces are in place for the team to succeed and there is a prolonged lack of results.
However, it will inevitably happen someday. Coaches don't last 10 years with the same team today, or very rarely. That's part of the game.
Ahead of the game against the Bruins at the Bell Centre, Renaud Lavoie dropped a major statement about current Boston coach Jim Montgomery. According to him, Montgomery is nothing less than the successor to Martin St-Louis when the time comes.
Montgomery has been performing small miracles with the Bruins since taking over. With significant departures like those of Patrice Bergeron and David Krejci, few people believed they would still be as dominant.
He is undoubtedly one of the best coaches in the NHL, and we will see him in action Thursday night.
"Somewhere along the line, he's going to coach the Canadiens." - Renaud Lavoie on Jim Montgomery
