It's over for Logan Mailloux in Montreal
The Montreal Canadiens announced in the final minutes that defenseman Logan Mailloux has been assigned to the Laval Rocket.
The American Hockey League team, led by Pascal Vincent, will host the Utica Comets at Place Bell in Laval.
However, as Anthony Marcotte, the team's game announcer on BPM Sports, pointed out, Mailloux will not be in the lineup tonight due to his late dismissal.
"Logan Mailloux has been demoted to the Laval Rocket. The Rocket confirms that he will not be in the lineup tonight against Utica due to his late demotion today."
Despite several defensive shortcomings, Mailloux was not bad in terms of points. In five games with the Habs, he collected three points, which is far from atrocious, let's be clear.
On the other hand, in Laval with the Rocket, he collected four points in two games.
Expect to see him back with the big club sooner rather than later, especially when a back gets injured.
