Juraj Slafkovsky has been called to an important meeting
It's easy to forget, but Juraj Slafkovsky is turning into quite the hockey player. At just 19 years old, his progression is truly impressive.
On the North American scale, Slafkovsky may seem ordinary to us. However, in his home country, he is a true star and an idol to the people.
This was evident in a very special meeting he had after Tuesday night's game in Washington.
«We waited a long time for Juraj Slafkovsky after the game. The ambassador of Slovakia had asked to meet him, just like that, as a proud compatriot. That's an excellent reason!»
- Luc Gélinas, RDS
With 22 points, including 9 goals in 49 games, he is becoming the highly anticipated player for the Canadiens. On Tuesday night, he scored two beautiful goals with high-quality shots, something we don't see from him often.
We know he has a good shot, but if he consistently adds his thunderous shot to his arsenal, the Canadiens will have quite the hockey player in their possession for a long time.
