Juraj Slafkovsky is representing Slovakia at the World Championship right now. He's the star of the team.

It's a great experience for the young Canadiens player, especially considering the competition is very tough this year.

Unfortunately for him, Slovakia lost 6-4 against Germany, and he stood out for the wrong reasons.

Sent to the penalty box, Slaf clearly disagreed and made it known to the referees, but there's more.

He also lost his cool against his opponents while on his team's bench. I admire his intensity, but he now needs to learn to channel it on the ice.

It's normal, he's still a very young player, and winning is important to him. He's emotional, and that's fine, but he still has more to learn.

It certainly doesn't help when sleepless nights are involved. His team is staying in a hotel with uncomfortable mattresses, and he also voiced his opinion about it.

"I have back pain because of the hotel bed," he said, as quoted by a Slovak media outlet. "I would have preferred to stay somewhere farther from the arena in something better. Unfortunately, it's not my decision." - Juraj Slafkovsky

Clearly, it's a frustrating tournament for him, but he'll gain a lot of maturity from it, and I love that. Uncomfortable beds or a fire alarm in the middle of the night, he'll experience these kinds of things in the playoffs, even in the NHL.
