Kent Hughes announces his intentions and recalls two forwards
The Canadiens lost the services of Patrik Laine on Saturday night, and unless a miracle happens, he will miss several months of activity, forcing Kent Hughes to make a move.
The general manager had finally found a high-caliber player to play in the top 6, but that's over for a while, and no one can replace the contribution that Patrik Laine would have brought internally.
However, especially against a rival like the Senators, Kent Hughes can decide to add weight, and that's exactly what he just did by recalling Lucas Condotta and Luke Tuch from Laval.
The two forwards had been assigned to join the Rocket's camp, but they have been recalled for the two matches against their rival from Ottawa.
The message is clear: things are going to get physical, and no one will injure our players again. Kent Hughes has decided to add weight to his lineup and is sidelining the main trio, as well as several key players.
Forwards:
89 Roy 77 Dach 40 Armia
51 Heineman 71 Evans 11 Gallagher
27 Barré-Boulet 28 Dvorak 91 Kapanen
55 Pezzetta 82 Condotta 88 Tuch
Defensemen:
42 Engström 58 Savard
47 Struble 52 Barron
72 Xhekaj 24 Mailloux
Cayden Primeau, Jakub Dobe, and Samuel Montembeault are alternating in goal. This is also a great audition for Oliver Kapanen and Alex Barré-Boulet, who could take advantage of Patrik Laine's injury to make their mark.
Joshua Roy will also play a crucial role alongside Kirby Dach. We must not forget about him.
