Kent Hughes could loan a young prospect to an European team in 2024-2025
A young forward selected in the first round by the Montreal Canadiens is expected to be loaned to another organization as early as this year, according to several sources. The player in question is Filip Mesar.
Mesar, who has not progressed as expected since being selected in the 1st round of the 2022 NHL Draft, could indeed be loaned by Kent Hughes for the 2024-25 season.
With a modest contribution of 52 points in 45 games last season in the OHL, it cannot be said that he dominated at his level.
