Last-minute change made by Martin St-Louis: The Canadiens head coach is still making decisions
The Canadiens are gearing up to face the mighty Oilers tonight in Edmonton. At the beginning of the season, not much was expected from this team, but a very impressive winning streak has put them back on track.
For the Canadiens, it will be their second challenge without coach Martin St-Louis, but as Trevor Letowski mentioned, who has taken over in his absence, the two communicate several times a day, and Martin still makes decisions.
As usual, there may be a change on the Canadiens' blue line. In the last game, Jordan Harris and Jayden Struble formed the 3rd defensive pair. In the morning practice, they were rotating, and Johnathan Kovacevic was used as a regular.
Matheson - Guhle
Xhekaj - Savard
Struble and Harris rotating - Kovacevic
It's worth noting that Michael Pezzetta and Kovacevic are now confirmed, so there will be two official changes to the lineup.
So despite the distance, St-Louis potentially still makes some decisions. This change is typical of the coach anyway.
