Major announcement from Gary Bettman and the NHL involving certain star players
Gary Bettman is regularly criticized for not doing enough to promote his league, which makes it less popular than it could be.
When Snoop Dogg was in the picture to buy the Ottawa Senators, he loudly stated that there should be posters of Connor McDavid everywhere, which is not the case. According to the rapper, the current commissioner doesn't know how to promote.
Let's be realistic, Bettman has been in office for over 30 years now. He must be doing some good things, or else he wouldn't still be there.
However, an announcement was made by Chris Johnston on Monday, as the league and Amazon have created something very interesting.
"Interesting nugget coming out of today's NHL GMs Meeting: A couple managers mentioned that the league has signed on to do a behind-the-scenes series with Amazon that will centre around 10-12 star players.
It's due for a fall release."
This is really good news, as NHL stars need to be better known and have more visibility to further grow the league.
